Er war ein tugendhafter Gelehrter aus der Ulema-Klasse, die in Tire aufwuchs, und der Sohn von Mahmud Efendi aus Tire. Nachdem er seine Ausbildung in Tire abgeschlossen hatte, diente er als Müderris (Professor) und verstarb im Jahr 1690.
