After receiving his initial education from the scholars of his hometown, he completed his studies with Muallim Ataullah Efendi and was appointed as a madrasah teacher (müderris) at Hacı Sinan Madrasah in Bayındır with a salary of twenty-five akçes, quickly spreading his fame and virtue.
